Eating Should Give You Energy, Not Anxiety
100% honesty, I used to think anxiety around food was the norm.
It wasn’t until I started really researching, learning, and understanding more about my body and the science behind it that I slowly began to accept that’s not true.
Anxiety and stress around food is taught. It’s not inherent.
Read that again. Anxiety, and stress, around food is TAUGHT. 😱
By giving foods morality (“good” and “bad”), by giving foods priority (“dinner before dessert, salads first”), and equating “hunger” with results and “fullness” with feeling/being fat - we’ve been raised by a culture that grooms us perfectly foe the (billion dollar) diet industry to prey on us.
It’s not your fault, your family’s fault, or your friends fault. But it is a responsibility that you now bear. It’s a decision you get to control.
It might be a slow transition to enjoying food - but imagine how truly AMAZING life will feel when you stop thinking about calories, how to cut them out or decrease them, and just focus on fueling your body to be the absolute BEST it can be?
What would be the first thing you would change? Let’s start there. 🤘🏻
