3 gut health myths I hear all the time… 🤭
There’s so much information out in the universe about this, so let’s just straighten it out shall we.
💭 Low FODMAP diets will “cure” digestive issues.
🛑 NO! It’s not meant to be a lifestyle - low FODMAP is a bandaid while your system starts to heal, but it should never be used long term. Ideally it’s used while you narrow down foods and find issues, then start to resolve them!
💭 Bloating is only caused by what you eat.
🛑 bloating can be caused by any number of factors like stress, exercise, hydration levels, sleep habits, etc. it’s not just what you’re eating!
💭 if you don’t have digestive symptoms you don’t have digestive issues
🛑 100% incorrect! Even if you don’t have specific digestive symptoms (nausea, diarrhea, gas etc) you can still have digestive issues. When you can’t properly digest nutrients, your body goes all kinds of crazy like with acne, rashes, energy levels, concentration etc just to name a few.
